  قال د. تيسير جرادات وكيل وزارة الخارجية الفلسطيني خلال برنامج قلب الحدث للحديث حول إمكانية توفير الحماية الدولية للشعب الفلسطيني ما يلي:
  نحن ندرك الفيتو الأمريكي في مجلس الامن الدولي ولكن هذا لا يمنعنا في أن نحاول في بذل الجهود السياسية والدبلوماسية الممكنة من أجل الضغط على المجتمع الدولي حتى يقوم بواجبه للإيجاد حل عادل وشامل للقضية الفلسطينية.
  نحن ندرك ان إمكانية توفير الحماية الدولية للشعب الفلسطيني ليس بالسهل ولكننا مصمون على بذل هذا الجهد من أجل أن يتحقق، وأن يعمل به مجلس الأمن الدولي.
  نحن دولة تحت الإحتلال فكيف لنا أن لا نطلب من الأمين العام لمجلس الأمن الدولي السيد بان كي مون بتوفير الحماية الدولية للشعب الفلسطيني في ظل إجرءات الإحتلال الإسرائيلي.
  جربنا التفاوض وهناك سد منيع هذا التفاوض وهناك عدم إحرام من قبل إسرائيل للإتفاقيات التي وقعتها معا السلطة، وإذا إلتزمت بهذه الإتفاقيات لا كان هناك أي مشكلة.
  هناك ظروف صعبة ومرحلية يمر بها الشعب الفلسطيني تحتم علينا أن نستمر في طرق الأبواب في المنظمات الدولية ونحرج هذه المنظمات وهذا المجتمع الدولي، وإذا لم يوفر المجتمع الدولي حماية للشعب الفلسطيني فهذا سيؤدي إلى نتائج لن يقبلها هذا المجتمع الدولي ولا غيره.
