  قال محمود الزهار القيادي في حركة حماس :

  • ان المقاومة المسلحة كانت شرف هذه المعركة، فصائل المقاومة وعلى راسها كتائب القسام كانت تخوض وهذه المعركة.
  • المعركة على جانب انها كانت معركة عسكرية الا انها كانت معركة سياسية بامتياز هي معركة امنية بامتياز.
  • كان الهدف من المعركة انهاء هذا الصداع المتواصل للاقليم والمنطقة والاحتلال.
  • كان دخولهم بكل قوة كان دخولهم بر وبحر وجوى وكان يضربون بكل قوى.

  • إن خوف إسرائيل من انفجار قطاع غزة، دفعها لإرسال مبعوثين لبحث تهدئة مع المقاومة الفلسطينية في القطاع.
  • أن مساعي التهدئة والاتصالات الدولية هي نتائج المعركة الماضية، فالجميع خائف من أن تنفجر غزة من جديد، والعدو الإسرائيلي خائف من هذا الانفجار، فيرسل رسل وقنوات لبحث التهدئة.
  • أن حماس لا يمكن أن تقبل بإقامة دولة فلسطينية في قطاع غزة، أو بإقامة دولة بدون القطاع.

  • أن ما تعرض له والقيادي في الحركة عماد العلمي أثناء الحرب الأخيرة على قطاع غزة لم يكن استهدافا مباشرا من الاحتلال.

  • أن أجهزة امن المقاومة كانت للعدو بالمرصاد.
  • أن المعركة القادمة مع الاحتلال ستكون معركة التحرير.
  • أن حركته لن تكن تخطط للحرب وإنما الاحتلال الذي بدأها.
  • بعد عام من الحرب المقاومة وعلى رأسها كتائب القسام هي أقوى اضعافا مما كانت عليه قبل الحرب.
  • أن العدو يخشى من انفجار غزة ويرسل وسطاء من عدة لغزة لتهدئة الأوضاع.
  • أن الضفة الغربية ستبقى وفية لتاريخها ولجغرافيتها ولن نتخلى عنها ولا عن فلسطين كل فلسطيني.
