  نظمت حركة الشبيبة في جامعة الازهر احتفال طلابيا في الذكرى 12 لرحيل الشهيد ياسر عرفات في مدينة غزة، واكدت الشبيبة على انها ستبقى وفية لدماء وذكرى الشهيد الرمز ابو عمار، مشددة على ضرورة ان تكون ذكرى الاستشهاد يوما وطنيا بإمتياز.
  صرح القيادي النائب محمد دحلان عضو المجلس التشريعي عن حركة فتح انه ينبغي التوقف فورا عن المتاجرة الرخيصة بقضية استشهاد الرئيس الشهيد ياسر عرفات، واضاف القيادي النائب محمد دحلان انه من العار السكوت عن شخص مثل محمود عباس يدعي معرفة منفذي تلك الجريمة الكبرى وانه المستفيد الوحيد من تغيب ابو عمار عن المشهد.
