اقدمت مواطنة فلسطينية من طولكرم بالضفة الغربية على حرق نفسها أمام مركز شرطة المدينة احتجاجا على قيام دورية للشرطة الفلسطينية بازالة العربة التي يعمل عليها زوجها واولادها في الوقت الذي نفت فيه الشرطة الفلسطينية مسؤوليتها عن الحادث، واتهمت عائلة المرأة بالتهجم على دورية لها اثناء اداء مهامها في أحد الاسواق بطولكرم.
المواطنة التي احرقت نفسها:
انا رأيت اولادي وزوجي يتعقلوا، وحصل معي انهيار عصبي لما اقدر اتحمل، قاموا بضربي ولم اتحمل ما حصل بدل ما يستوعبوني قاموا باحاطتي لكي يضربوني واقدم علي شرطيات، كردة فعل لي ما رايت حالي الا وانا مشعل النار.

عندما وصلت الشرطة الى محل زوج هذه المواطنة الذي رفض ازالة البضاعة التي كان يقوم بوضعها على الرصيف والشارع، وبدأ بالتهجم على مفتشي البلدية ولذلك تم توقيفه هو ونجله الذي تهجم على الشرطة وعلى مفتشي البلدية، ونتيجة لذلك حاولت المواطنة احراق نفسها، ولكن تم انقاذها من قبل جهاز الشرطة.
